Couch to 5K session
On Wednesday, we have a Couch to 5k session at 14:00 from outside the Portland Building on the steps (the side near the lake). The first session is on Wednesday 5th October.
Have you ever wanted to start running but not had the confidence or time to go to an athletics club? Then this is the event for you!
Over a period of 10 weeks there will be variety of fun student-led sessions, building from complete beginner (walk/jog sessions) to being able to finish a 5k without stopping.
The sessions will take place once a week at 2pm on Wednesdays at Portland Steps (Lakeside) on University Park Campus.
This a perfect opportunity to get fit, make friends and destress from all that uni work.
These sessions are completely free and open for anyone and everyone to attend, no uni sports membership nor club membership required!
On a Monday, we have a 3 mile social run taking place at 17:45 from outside Jubilee Campus Sports Centre. The first social run is on Monday 3rd October.

Please note this can vary slightly on the day, especially depending on weather & time of year, good and we may divert through the park!

Our Tuesday and Thursday Distance Squad training sessions are also suitable for all abilities and we encourage anyone who wants to get even more involved in athletics to come down to these, they are usually good fun and the best attended!
