Couch to 5K session
New term, new start! Feel like getting fitter? Join our UoN Athletics Engage Couch to 5k programme, which aims to get you running 5 kilometres by Christmas. Fun and inclusive, sessions will run at 2pm every Wednesday, meeting on the steps outside the Portland Building. These sessions are for anyone and everyone, but are in particular for complete beginners to running who want to meet new people and kick start a healthier life! These sessions are completely free and open for anyone and everyone to attend, no uni sports membership nor club membership required!
On Tuesdays, we have 3 and 5 mile social runs taking place at 18:30 from the steps out the front of the Portland Building (lakeside). Check our Facebook page for info of the next run.
Please join our Facebook group to keep up to date with any alterations to runs and look out for details of our upcoming socials! We welcome and encourage everyone to come along!
Please note this can vary slightly on the day, especially depending on weather & time of year, good and we may divert through the park!

Our Tuesday and Thursday Distance Squad training sessions are also suitable for all abilities and we encourage anyone who wants to get even more involved in athletics to come down to these, they are usually good fun and the best attended!
